About Us
Margo’s is owned by a husband and wife with over 10 years of experience. It started with Midwest Landscaping Inc. in Monroe, MI., in 2004. As the landscaping business grew, we found it increasingly difficult to find the varieties to make landscaping truly beautiful with the four seasons we experience here in Michigan. In 2019, the heavily wooded lot was purchased and every year receives multiple improvements to give clients a visual of what they can expect to achieve when planting. Mother’s Day of 2020 was the first day open to the public.
Over the past twenty years, Midwest Landscaping has become a dependable federal contractor for the GSA and other federal/commercial agencies. Currently, Midwest has contracts with the GSA to provide landscaping and snow removal services for seven buildings in Detroit, MI, and Cleveland, OH, and with Promedica Health Systems to provide the same services for seven buildings in Monroe, MI.
Ford Motor Company (1 million sq.ft.) and Frenchtown Police Department/Community Center (529,000 sq. ft.), both of which were new builds, and Midwest was contracted to install irrigation systems/trees/plants/rock/grass seed/straw blanket/etc.
Midwest Landscaping employs 12-15 people to conduct service at both Midwest and Margo’s. Being an experienced landscaping company and having a successful Garden Center means Midwest is run by individuals who care for their business and will do anything to ensure the survival of both.
